If you have already downloaded OpenVistA VivA, it may be easier just to work with it. If you already have Fedora core downloaded, you can download OpenVistA SemiVivA and in a shell, as root, execute:

cd /usr/local
tar zxvf <filename of OpenVistA SemiVivA>

From then, to run it, you can execute /usr/local/OpenVista/vista

You should probably ask these technical questions at hardhats-members@lists.sourceforge.net rather than on this forum (go to http://sourceforge.net/projects/hardhats and click on Lists to join)..
