Free/libre and open source at MIE2005
IMIA/AMIA Posted by Peter Murray on Thursday May 05, 2005 @ 03:56 PM
from the IMIA/AMIA dept.
Members of the IMIA Open Source Working Group and IMIA-NI Open Source Nursing Informatics Working Group (OSNI) have been successful in having several submissions accepted for MIE2005 (the XIX International Congress of the European Federation for Medical Informatics). There will be a tutorial on open source and health informatics, a paper about the OSNI groups' use of open source tools, and workshop to explore the need (or otherwise) for a European/EFMI Working Group to complement the IMIA and AMIA groups and give a specific European dimension. MIE2005 will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, on 28 August to 1 September, 2005 (see www.mie2005.net). Digg this article

If you know of other free/libre, open source, GNU/Linux or other relevant activities being presented at MIE2005, please let us know.

We would encourage anyone interested in free/libre and open source software for health informatics to try and attend MIE2005.
