Ultimately, we are reinventing the wheel, and could better use our valuable resources. Rather than suggest a specific plan, why not just get the players to the (virtual) table for a frank discussion? There are lots of options, and at this point, no one idea should prevail. The real benefits are to the end users. For those of us who use open source EMR products in low resource settings, we know that there are lives being saved. Isn't that what the work is all about?
